Another observation...

This happened on the way from picking chiya up from school. There's a kid in her class who really likes her and she likes him back, all innocent. So that day "R", the kid, had done a craft in his class and made a little dog out of something, chiya hadn't done anything so fancy, but she had done a craft as well.
Anyway, so we're on the way to the car now and there's another cute little first grader who says hi to "R", he says hi back. Chiya and he resume conversation. Diya, "so what have you named your dog?" R: "K" (the name of the other girl). Diya: "WHAT?" "K!!!" Poor kid backtracked so fast and said "sorry, it's Diya." and all was well....

Santa Claus?

So is Santa Claus called Santa "claus" because he has claws??? I was completely taken aback by this observation from Avi. He comes up with such observations sometimes that I am blown away. I had to then explain how he came about that name...
Today, Avi wanted to go out and play with the neighbor's kids. All three of them being girls. So Atul threatened him by saying that he would tell Avi's best friends (who thank goodness are boys) that he plays with girls. What does Avi do when he hears this? Shrugs his shoulders and says but I play with girls at school. As in dumbo, give these threats some thought before you give them to me!!
