On the way back from school

We were stopped at a stop light on our way to pick Avi up. A young boy (rather evident to me) with long, flowing, blond hair decided to cross our path at that light. Diya goes, "Oh my! Look at her!" I was about to correct her and let her know that it was a him, when all of a sudden as he got closer to us, she goes, "what? Is that a him?" what was funny for me was that she did not switch from wow! look at that girl to "is that a boy?" instead her pronouns were well balanced!
Just thought I'd add that to the journal....
